“Determined to continue where his friend left off, Tunin, a freckled peasant anarchist, arrives in Rome with the intention to assassinate Benito Mussolini. Under those circumstances, the resolute idealist will be welcomed in the town’s first-rate brothel as the cousin of his contact, the devoted revolutionary, Salomè, who works there as a prostitute. However, things will soon get complicated, when Tunin who falls in love with one of the girls, the young Tripolina, will find himself on the verge of failure, torn between ideals and passion. “Amber is 40, beautiful, rich, spoiled, and arrogant beyond measure. Nothing makes this woman happy, including her wealthy but passive husband (Tony), a pharmaceutical kingpin. When Tony takes her on a private cruise from Greece to Italy, Amber is unimpressed at this impromptu no-frills vacation, and takes out her anger on the ship’s first mate, Giuseppe. When a storm leaves the two shipwrecked on a deserted island, however, the tables suddenly turn…”

“Pasqualino, an Italian everyman, deserts the army during World War II. Germans capture him and send him to a prison camp, where he does just about anything to survive. In lengthy flashbacks, we see him and his family of seven unattractive sisters (the seven beauties), his accidental murder of one sister’s lover, his confession and imprisonment, his calculated switch to an asylum, his rape of a patient, and his volunteering to be a soldier to escape confinement. To the chagrin of his obese German captor, his weak and cowardly character enables him to survive the war and return to Naples where he has a plan to survive the next world catastrophe.”
